Who I am
Trevelyan Films & Photography ("I", "me") is a wedding film and photography business based in North Devon. I am the data controller for the personal information described here. You can contact me at trevelyanweddingfilms@gmail.com or on 07467745340.
What I collect
When you enquire or book, I collect the details you give me, such as your names, email address, phone number, wedding date and venue, and anything you tell me about your plans. If we work together I also create photos and film of your day, which may include you, your guests and your family. If you contact me by email or social media, I keep those messages.
How I use it
I use your details to reply to enquiries, quote, plan and deliver your wedding film or photographs, take bookings and payments, and keep basic business records. I may share your film or photos on my website, Vimeo and social media, but only with your agreement.
Legal basis
Under UK GDPR, I rely on: taking steps to enter or perform a contract with you; my legitimate interests in running my business and answering enquiries; your consent (for example, to showcase your wedding publicly, which you can withdraw at any time); and legal obligations such as tax records.
Who I share it with
I don't sell your data. I share it only with services I use to run the business: my website host (Squarespace), video hosting (Vimeo), email and cloud storage providers, payment providers, and trusted second shooters or editors I bring in for your booking. Some of these are based outside the UK and use recognised safeguards.
Website and cookies
This website uses cookies from Squarespace and embedded services such as Vimeo and Instagram. You can control cookies in your browser settings.
How long I keep it
Enquiry details are kept for up to 2 years if you don't book. Client records and finished films are kept for as long as needed to support you and meet tax rules (normally at least 6 years).
Your rights
You can ask to see, correct, delete or restrict the use of your personal data, or object to it. Email me and I'll reply within one month. If you're unhappy, you can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk.
Changes
I'll update this page if my practices change and show the date above.
